Since learning to knit from my mum as a child, knitting has been my close companion. I'm rarely without my trusty needles, and my passion for the craft has only deepened over the years. While I cherish all aspects of knitting, my heart particularly belongs to the intricate art of crafting sweaters, cardigans, and delicate lace patterns.
Before venturing into the world of knitting pattern tech editing, I spent 15 rewarding years as a primary school teacher. This background instilled in me a gentle and nurturing approach when providing feedback—a quality I bring to my editing work.
My decision to transform my hobby into a thriving business was driven by a desire to merge my knitting expertise with my fascination for maths and the pursuit of logical precision. Patterns, with their intricate instructions, have always captivated me, and I possess the unique ability to visualize and construct designs in my mind, a useful skill for a tech editor. To further hone my skills, I undertook the Certification for Technical Editors with the Knitting Guild Association.
While my nationality is English, I have lived in several countries around the world and currently reside Ireland. This international experience has equipped me to seamlessly edit patterns using either British English or American English spelling and punctuation standards, tailoring my services to your audience's preference.
At the intersection of passion, precision, and creativity, I found my calling in tech editing—a journey that allows me to knit together the worlds of art and logic, one pattern at a time. I look forward to partnering with you on your knitting adventures and helping your patterns shine.
